Is just incredible. I just spent 15 minutes watching Sol Latino tv channel, that shows latin artists, mainly boy bands and men with guitar combinations. As I was enjoying my time and having a good laugh, I want to share some of these partystarters with you as well.
Buen Color - Cuéntame
This video is actually quite lame as compared to the sailor themed "Ámame" that I just saw. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to google it from web, so you have to settle for this.
Barrio Boyzz - This is how we roll
Ok, this is already a one step up. Classic 5 man group singing. This song is in English, but I choosed it for the rap-influenced stylish video and 90's g-funkish influence:D For more Latin twist, try "Eres asi".
Angel Lopez - Elegiste perder.
This one just dropped our jaws. It's a sad love song performed by a man with a guitar (actually no guitar involved, but just to distinguish a solo singer from boy bands:D). The video is just incredible. Just gotta love a guy that prepares fruit platter! The girl is quite a hater though....
By now, I'm sure that there's one or more wondering: "Where the hell all these bands pop up?". Short answer: Puerto Rico. The world's maybe longest existing boy band is originally Spanish-origin, a master plan of Puerto Rican music producer. Since 1977, Menudo has been on and off the latin music lists. The members have changed incredibly many times, as Wiki knows. Also Ricky Martin was a member of the group in the 80's and to appreciate his career and work for latin pop music, I decided to post this English-language Menudo hit from 1985 when Ricky was still in the posse.

latin pop noin niinku genrena on kylla aina ajatuksia ja tunteita herattavana, etta kylla siita sietaakin kirjoittaa! tassa kun tuli ne hynttyyt yhteen jo katsottua niin olen tutustunut chilelaiseen versioon idolssista, missa oikeesti sattuu ja tapahtuu vakivaltaa, propagandaa ja lahes seksia! gotta love it.

Hey Joel - glad you're enjoying the blog, thank you for reading! I can only read about half of this one (still working on my Finnish) but it definitely looks like you're having an amazing time.
I was checking out your Toronto blog, and I noticed your piece about being a Finnish ambassador. Apparently you're a good one, because I just booked a ticket to Helsinki for late April! I'll be there for about a week, but it looks like you'll still be in Barcelona, which is really a shame. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait until the summer to come, because I have to go right back home to Boston and start working as soon as I'm done here in Israel. But I'm really excited to see your motherland, and you'll be sure to read about it in my blog.
